Delete C64.CFG file, then re-start the emulator, set-up from within CCS64, do not edit by hand. Use the Test function to check screen-modes, until you find a mode that works. What was wrong with Windows Me - works AOK for me. I am also using DirectX 8.1, which Windows XP is supposed to come with. Perhaps re-upgrade to DirectX 8.1.
