I used to get system lock-ups in CCS64. This was caused by DirectX. Here are some tips:
1. Upgrade your DirectX to the latest version (8.1) for your operating system. The URL is the usual one - http://www.microsoft.com/directx
2. Ensure that you are using the most up-to-date graphics driver for your operating system.
3. Set the Refresh Rate of your graphics adapter to a specific supported value and then over-ride the DirectDraw Refresh Rate to this value (Hz) in the DirectX Set-Up program.
4. Ensure that you are using the most up-to-date Motherboard BIOS image for your motherboard.
5. Some motherboard settings might need changing.
Go to my web-site, and in the Emulators section, download the DirectX Trouble-Shooting Guide, for more help.

: This is really annoying.
: I believe it might also be caused by a corrupt installation of *Win2000* (not CCS64).
: Games lock up in the middle of gameplay, nevertheless, Alt-F4 still works (F9 doesn't anymore at this point, though).
: I can start CCS64 again and continue playing, then it will lock up again later at another point. I don't know what's the cause of this (yet).
: Am I the only one having problems under Win2000?
