: I've tried to run the DirectX version of CCS64 on several Windows 2000 Pro machines of different configurations. I've tried a variety of games. All of them freeze after a minute or so. Any suggestions?

I upgraded my machine to a P3-850 CPU with 128 Mb RAM and with an SB16 PCI sound card (I used to have an SB16 non-PnP before, which worked fine). I had the Sound Blaster 16 Direct Sound Driver selected in CCS64-Win, and after a while of use, my games used to just hang the emulator and the whole of Windows (all I could do is press the dreaded Reset button). I changed back to using the Primary Sound Device and everything seems OK so far. Does this help you? Does the sound card being PCI make any difference to CCS64-Win?

Stuart Toomer.
